In 2002, Rainbow Time was launched by Cornel School, which has offered a full-day English immersion program for children aged 3-13 in Taiwan since 1984. In Taiwan, children's English storybooks used to be unavailable, not to mention audiobooks. To help children get more exposure to English after school, Cornel published Rainbow Time, a story-and-song-based monthly audible magazine with full-colored illustrations. All the stories were written and recorded by Cornel's foreign teachers certified for K-6 in the States or Canada. This magazine was awarded twice by the Ministry of Culture as one of the best children's publications in Taiwan. In order to share this unique English resource with Taiwanese children around the country, our stories have been broadcast daily for over 15 years on several popular radio stations, such as Public Education Radio, Sunny Radio, Good Family Radio, and ICRT (an English-speaking radio). Our magazines were widely sold in bookstores and used as supplementary materials in many public elementary schools, which were sponsored by government funds to improve English education. In addition, we helped the Taichung City government to establish the first-ever English children's books-based library for children. We also offered live English story time in the Cultural Center and National Library every week until COVID broke out.

  In 2020, Cornel was accredited by COGNIA to become an international school. The teachers have helped invent new Rainbow Time products to help English-speaking children learn Chinese as a second language. It is our goal to help children learn not only the language but also about Chinese culture. We have produced 14 series of frequently used bilingual vocabulary and sentence flashcards, bilingual picture books, and English phonics and Chinese Zhuyin (phonics) flashcards. We hope to help children interested in learning Chinese as a second language to have fun learning and use it comfortably. We also aim to help young children learn English in Taiwan through Rainbow Time's new English/Chinese version.

 Rainbow Time is specifically designed for 3 to 10-year-old children in Taiwan. Through our stories, English becomes close to life, no longer unfamiliar or intimidating. Running a publishing company has been challenging, but we have always remembered our original intention and never given up on insisting on quality.
